World Lizard Day, celebrated on 14th August every year. On this occasion, a few interesting facts about the lizards.

1. There are more than 6,000 different kinds of lizards in our planet Earth.
2. They had existed since the fossil period which is more than 200 years ago.
3. Except in Antarctica, these reptiles are found everywhere.
4. Most lizards gain the water content from their food which means that they do not need water to live.
